What’s uppppppppppppp everybodyyyyyyyyyyy! I’ve been slightly slacking on blogging, but I’ve made a committment…so I’m seriously going to try to stick to it this time How has everything been? Things have been sweeeet on my end, but also very busy. Working on getting my next few releases out and preparing for spring shows.

Keep an eye out for my updated spring/summer calendar soon and I’ll be making some of the larger show/festival announcements from here as well. Hope to see everybody in 2012!

Detroit-bound tonite! // Hilarious almost-arson story

Ain’t no party like a DEtroit party cuz a DEtroit party don’t stoooooooooop I always love playing in Detroit. Detroit is like second home to me. My parents moved to the west side of Tha Mitten (for you non-Michigan folks, that’s what we call Michigan LOL) before I was born, but growing up we were in Detroit EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. Nearly the entire side of my Dad’s family lives there, and I know a lot of ppl there so it’s like kinda my 2nd stomping ground after Grand Rapids.

Tonite I’m playing alongside, techno diva Punisher which’ll be nice. I haven’t seen her in like two years or something, so it’ll be fun to throw down together once again. *BOOM* Our gig is actually going to be filmed for a movie by Detroit-based producer Juan Shannon. The movie is called “West Bloomfield“….so if you want yo 2 seconds of fame, then get down therrrrrrrrrr

On a semi-funny, but almost not-so-funny note…I accidentally set off the fire alarm in my unit last nite. *shaking my head* and yea…it was at about 2am. They JUST replaced our fire alarm batteries yesterday morning, so everything was hella sensitive…there I was doing a little late nite cooking…LOL I ran to the bathroom to wash my face and little did I know…there was a lil’ smoke action goin’ on. LOL uhmmmm yea. Now…good news? Grand Rapids Fire Department is ON it. They were literally there in like 5 minutes. Granted I felt like a complete IDIOT, but the response time was absolutely amazing. So they knock on my door…”ma’am is everything ok?” LOLLL SuperDre says…”OMG yes, I’m sooooooooooo sorry, it was just a cooking fail, I’m soooooooooo sorry!” LOLLLL THENNNNNNNNNN I looked down and realized WTF I had on when I answered the door. OMG. OMG. I hope I never see those fireman again. FIRST and foremost, I had just put my glasses on for the nite….which are BROKEN. Uhm yeah, I just broke them and actually TAPED them until my eye appointment next week. LOLLLLLLLL I could NOT have looked like more of a nerd. LOL I live in a loft building, so my windows are absolutely HUGE, so I’m like oh it’s a lil’ smoky…lemme open the window. I go to open the window and the blinds get caught in the window and then when I tried to get them unstuck, yeaaaaaaaaaaa ripped the blinds CLEAN off. I said to myself OUTLOUD, “Ok Dre, ur doin’ TOO much, just effing go to bed.” LOL and so I did. *sigh* So you see my friends? Anyone who thinks I’m cool, pls take note. I’m sooooooooo not. LOLLL
